Baptism & Father's Day

We had a great weekend! Harper was baptized on Sunday and all our family was there! Following church, we had a pool party at Aunt Amy's. It was perfect weather, and the pool water temps were 87 degrees! So the kids had a blast in the warm water.

Love this picture of Harper! What girl doesn't love a gold box from Josephs?!?!? And Harper has 3!!! Our friends and family were so kind and generous with presents for her for her baptism.

Noah had a great first Father's Day! We gifted him with a hammock, and some clothes.

Trying something new with our photos. There is a link on the right to "Our Life on the Farm Photos - Shutterfly". It's easier to upload photos to Shutterly, and then anyone who wants to get prints made of our photos can do so. Additionally, our blog posts appear on the right in the Feeds section on Shutterfly. So I hope this works for those who follow our blog!

Carrots!

This week I decided it was time to start the veggies. So I started with carrots. The photos below show just how much Harper enjoyed the carrots!

First we started by mixing the carrots with some rice cereal. No problem. She loved it.
Then we tried carrots all alone. Success!

And this shows why eating is soooo messy! Miss Harper loves to get her hand in her mouth, which then leads to food everywhere!

All clean after a nice bath!

Happy Father's Day - Noah

It's a little early...but with Father's Day coming this weekend, wanted to share a few photos of Noah and Harper.
Noah received one of his presents early. It was a hammock from Harper and me. Together they can swing and snuggle this summer!

I think the hammock inspired a second present from Noah's friends. They decided to gift Noah with his old snowmobile (which had been stored at Steve's)...and what better way than hanging between 2 trees....just like his hammock!
And who says living out in the country is boring! This is entertainment at its best! Ha!

More Firsts

First picnic - with the Wendt Family to celebrate G'pa Bob's b-day.

First tooth
- Harper cut her first tooth on Friday! Really didn't see it coming except for thinking it would be any day since both Noah and I got our first teeth at 5 months. She's been a little crabby about it - but overall handling it great!
First feet grab
- probably not the first but really starting to notice it more. She loves to grab her feet when she's on her back!

And nothing first about this photo - just a cute one of her eating her cereal! :) Vegetables will begin soon...

Swimming

Somebody loves the pool! Last weekend, Harper enjoyed the Van Maanen Aquatic Center in the water! Last time she just floated around with Aunt Amy. This time, she was in the water with her daddy. Summer is going to be so much fun!

Random Cute Shots

It's been a busy couple weeks since our last post. I've been busy with work, Noah is always busy. So I wanted to share some random cute shots from the last couple weeks! Enjoy...

Rusty V & Aunt Amy

So we had a scary Friday, May 22. Russ had an accident with his 4-wheeler...which led to an ambulance ride and a 7 hour stay in the Emergency Room. But he is doing better each day. THANKFULLY, no broken bones, no head injury....just very sore, an injured elbow and lots of road burn. He was taking the winter cover/tarp for the pool on his 4-wheeler down to the dumpster at our house, and it got caught up in the wheel and flipped him. Considering Russ didn't have a shirt on and the 4-wheeler landed on him, he is very lucky.

Speaking of pool....now that the Van Maanen Aquatic Center is open, we plan to spend lots of time at the pool! I even bought a nice umbrella for the deck so Harper can enjoy the pool, deck in the shade. Here she is - the first time in the pool. She only got a little wet. Looking forward to warmer weather and warmer pool temps before she really gets in the water!

Harper is grabbing Aunt Amy's beer. What a terrible role model! Ha!

Sleeping Beauty

As many of you know, we were blessed with a great sleeper. Harper has been sleeping thru the night since about 6 weeks. We are so lucky! The other night, my friend Lori was in town and Harper had already gone to sleep so we snuck upstairs to look in on her before we went out...and this is how we discovered her! Didn't seem to bother her! But we did move her around so she was more comfortable! I know what you are thinking - install some bumper pads! Sorry. Won't do. Safe sleeping practices for infants 12 months and younger is that there should be nothing in the crib with the baby...no toys, no blankets and no bumper pads.

Then this was Harper napping with Noah. It just amazes me how big she is getting! Not our 6 lb. newborn anymore!

Baby Cows

Noah and Caleb ended up with two sets of baby twin calves. One set isn't drinking that well off the mama...so we now have them at our house. So Noah not only gets to feed Harper her bottle in the morning, he gets to feed two baby cows their bottles too! They are so darn cute! Well, I think that. Ask any farmer and a baby who won't drink off their mama is not cute, but rather a nuisance!

This is kind of dark - but Harper meeting one of the babies...
