She's Walking

We have a walker! Harper took her first steps Feb. 3...and a few days later she was walking around! Amazing how quickly that transition happens. She now prefers walking over crawling. It's very cute!

On Feb. 15, Harper moved up to the toddler room at daycare. It was a very emotional transition for her mommy...but Harper did great. Didn't even cry on her first day. And every day since she's been doing great - taking great naps, playing, coloring, eating better, painting, walking, talking...so it's pretty clear that she was ready for the transition. Her new teacher is Demitu...and she's just as sweet and gentle as her previous teacher Donna. So we are happy for that.

Enjoy the photos below:

Look, I like spaghetti!

Doing yoga - this is Downward Dog.

My last day with my favorite teacher - Donna.

Do you like my ponytail? Mommy thought it was cute.

Where's Harper?

Here she is!

Feeding her baby.

And feeding her piggy. She loves pigs!

What bedhead?

Brushing my teeth! I love to do this and get mad when Mommy takes the toothbrush away from me.

Living dangerously - sitting on the side of my chair!

Walking! I go so fast it's hard for Mommy to get a picture!

Walking wears me out. I think I'll rest on my piggy.

Photos

Making a mess eating carrots.

Hanging out in my favorite chair.

Pigtails - thanks to Lindsey at Daycare!

Just being cute.

Playing bartender with Daddy.

Wearing my kitty hat while outside playing with my kitties.

What static prone hair?

I like to be silly by putting my jammies on my head and crawling around the living room. Sometimes I even crawl into stuff...but I don't get mad!

Me and my daddy.

13 Months & First Steps

Sorry - no photos this post.  But exciting news: Harper took her first steps two nights ago!  And then again the next night!  We're curious to see how long it'll be before she's really up and walking around....and then running!

Harper will be moving up to the toddler room at daycare on Feb. 15. I am struggling with this transition because we absolutely love her teacher Donna.  I know it'll be hard for Harper, because the days Donna isn't at daycare Harper cries when I leave her...so I am anxious about the transition.

Other fun updates:
- At Target the other day, Harper said "hi" to everyone who walked by. It was quite cute.
- She's doing better at eating table food (thank goodness).
- She likes to crawl around the living room with her pajamas on her head and gets mad if she can't get the pajamas just right on her head.
- She loves peek-a-boo...makes her smile and laugh every time!
- She still LOVES books...pulling them off the shelf and flipping thru the pages.
- She doesn't like being rocked at night anymore.  She used to let us rock her for a few minutes before putting her to bed. Now, she just wants to go to bed.

Hope all is well with our readers!  :)
