We got Harper a little wading pool so she could play in it on the deck at Amy's once she got tired of being in the big pool. This is how we transported it to Amy's. True country "red neck" way!

Harper took a fall in a store, and hit her check - notice the big purple bruise. Thank goodness she didn't hit her teeth.

Father's Day

It was a great Father's Day. We took Noah out for breakfast, ran some errands, and then Harper took a 3 hours nap. Which meant Daddy got a long nap too! After nap time, we headed to the pool and stayed for dinner at the Van Maanen's. It was a fun day, considering we thought all day it was going to rain - and it never did!

Kitties

Harper loves kitties! Ask her what a kitty says, and she says: "Oww"....as in "Meow". It's very cute. She can also tell you what a pig, cow, lion, horse and ducks can say!

Pool Time

As most of you know, Harper loves the water! Finally, we have been having some pool time at Amy's. This darn weather has been problematic in getting in some good, quality pool time!

Aunt Amy thought Harper was ready for water wings. I thought she was nuts - but she bought them anyway. Here, Harper is trying them out. She didn't seem to mind them too bad!

Um, yah...she's about to suck in a mouth full of water! Guess the water wings don't hold her up too well. Don't worry, Noah was right there to grab her!

Happy Birthday G'pa Wendt

Dear G'pa Wendt,

I hope you are having a good birthday and summer. I am loving the summer because I can play outside and swim. I love to chase my kitty around and swing too. My daddy and other G'pa say it can stop raining anytime now and I agree. The rain makes my Aunt Amy's pool water cold and the grass wet. Hope you have some good cake for your birthday and maybe an extra long nap. Bye bye and nigh nigh.

Sprinkler Fun

On Monday, we headed to Pella to see the Gyolais! It was a hot afternoon, so the girls wanted to cool down by playing in the sprinkler. While the water was pretty cold, it didn't seem to bother Harper. She couldn't get enough of it!

The Zoo

We had a GREAT weekend.  Noah took Sunday AND Monday off (this is a rare treat)...so we had some fun together.  My sister, mom, M&M were in Chicago, so we had to find entertainment without them. Sunday, we took Harper to the zoo.  She loves animals right now, so we knew she would love this outing. Ask her what a cow, horse, pig, kitty or lion says - and she will respond with moo, naaaah, breathing like she's trying to snort, ow (as in meow) and roahhhhh.  It's so funny and cute!
