Summer Fun!

Found some time tonight to upload some fun photos! Enjoy...

Post-bath.
Some babies like to suck on a pacifier, Harper on the other hand likes to chew on a pacifier.

She is LOVING playing on the floor with her toys...

Gardener Noah loves to pick vegetables in his rat poison bucket! Who wouldn't love to have home grown vegetable from a poison bucket??? Noah assures me it's a bucket that is 10 years old and has been thorougly cleaned out!

Someone fell asleep in her Bumbo. That's a first! I was making her bottle and turned around to see her asleep....so cute.

Her first Sandquist Picnic. It's an annual tradition....with all of Dad's cousins.

Someone is learning to use a sippy cup. Hasn't quite got it figured out, though.

In her towel that Grandma Karen got her. It's a mouse....and the towel even has a tail!
Speaking of G'ma Karen....here she is with Harper at a family gathering. Happy early b-day to G'ma Karen!

Other G'ma...hanging out at the farm.

And while at the farm, Max is enteraining Harper with one of his creations. Brett (the dog) also likes it!

And of course....Noah (and Caleb) fixing something that's broke down. They were moving quick to try and fix the baler since they had baling to do and rain was forecasted! Ah, the life of a farmer...always working around the weather.

Photos and Update

Harper had her 6 month photos taken over the weekend. If you want to see how they turned out, check out the link. Password to access the site is: wendt1.

And then Harper had her 6 month appointment yesterday. She's growing great! 17.6 pounds and 25 inches long. Time to start more feedings during the day. So far, Harper has loved every vegetable we've fed her, and just last night she got applesauce for the first time and loved it. So feeding her food has go very smoothly! The doctor also thinks her top teeth will be coming in anytime! She did have a low fever this morning, post-shots (which is common). But her mood was still good!

As of last Wednesday, Harper has been sitting up really well on her own. It's so fun because now she sits on the floor and plays with her toys all by herself!
I have had a busy week at work. One source of the "busy-ness" was a tour/press conference with our Governor on Tuesday. My job involved all the behind the scenes arrangments. And in the photo, you can literally see me (and my co-worker Amy) 'behind the scenes' working with a photographer from the Register.
Two family "picnics" this weekend...Noah's family on Saturday, and my family on Sunday. Should be a fun weekend.

She's 6 Months Old!

Where to start? Well....Harper is now 6 months old! Can't believe it! I always had in my head that at 6 months she'd be so much fun, and that's so true. She's just a jabber queen...and loves to now blow "raspberries". It's pretty cute. She's also loving being on her tummy...I suspect in another month she'll be crawling! She's also cut her second tooth and is almost sitting up by herself. So much change and it's all so much fun.

Enjoy the collage of photos below...with captions from Harper.

My dad is silly wearing my mommy's sunglasses...but he does look good in pink! And I love my matching t-shirt with my daddy!

I love my swim hat and having tummy time on my daddy!

My mom thinks I look "soooo big" in my high chair.

I love to feel the new teeth in my mouth with my finger.

I love my shoes!
