Good Sleeper!

I love this picture. You can almost see Harper's blonde hair that is starting to grown in.

Last night was the third night Harper has slept thru the night - not the 3rd night in a row, though. But we put her in her crib at 9:30 and so woke me up at 5:51 a.m. Yeah! Yesterday we decided to increase her formula an ounce because she was finishing all her bottles, and was hungry more frequently. So I think that helped her sleep longer. If she keeps this up, it will be the perfect schedule for me as I go back to work. Keep your fingers crossed for us! :)

1 Year Anniversary

It was one year ago today that we tied the knot! And what a difference a year makes! To celebrate our anniversary, we travelled to Noah's sister's on Saturday. She and her husband built these super relaxing cabins on their property (Horns Ferry Hideaway) and they let us stay in one overnight...while they watched Harper. It was great for us - because Harper was literally only 2 minutes away and with his sister who has 3 young girls of her own. So we knew she was in great hands!

Then tonight, Aunt Amy watched Harper so we could go out to dinner. It was a great weekend and a great night.
Below are a few photos from the weekend and tonight.

Sucking & Smiling

Lately, Harper has been more interested in her hand than in a pacifier. So we may have a thumb or finger sucker on our hands! I was a finger sucker...so maybe Harper is taking after her Mommy!

Also this week, Harper has been really smiling - and not just when she's sleeping. We can get her to smile at us - which is so completely cool! Today, I finally was able to capture some good smiles on camera.

Twins

So Mollie received this outfit for Christmas this year. Aunt Amy was shopping and saw the same outfit for babies on the sale rack. So she could not resist. And of course, we had to take photos of them together in their matching outfits! :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day from our "Love Bug"!

It's been a week since we posted, and lots of memories have been made. I'll share those memories below thru some photos!

This was Harper's first ride in her stroller! It only took 4 and a half weeks before we were able to use it. But Amy, Mollie and I went walking at the school during Max's b-ball practice. Harper did well.

This is following Harper's first night of sleeping thru the night! This photo was taken at 5:45 a.m. when she got us up. We were quite pleased. She has not slept thru the night since then, but she does go a 6-7 hour stretch which only requires us getting up with her once during the night - which is quite nice!

Harper is starting to love her bath time. This is taken during the first bath where she did not cry at all! We actually enjoy giving her baths now!

Harper in her first Valentine's outfit, thanks to my Aunt Anita!

She's thinking - look how big I am! This was taken following a doctor's appointment. She is now weighing 9 pounds 6 ounces. We went to the doctor because she was spitting up more frequently...and the doctor thinks she has reflux (just like her mommy). So we are trying some medicine to see if that helps.

Harper wearing her favorite stocking hat - thanks to a co-worker! She loves it, can't you tell?

Harper enjoying her very first Valentine's Day. Daddy got her a toy, G'ma got her some outfits, other G'ma got her a stuffed frog and her cousins sent her a cute valentine in the mail.

1 Month Old

Harper is 1 month old today. While the weeks seem to fly by, it does seem like an eternity ago that we were at the hospital having her.

At 1 month, Harper is growing well and making us smile. Some highlights:
  • She has graduated from her newborn-size clothes to her 0-3 month old-size clothes (even though they are still a little bit long).
  • She's eating more now.
  • She made it through almost an entire bath last night without crying. Normally she screams during baths.
  • She's gone up to 7 hours between feedings at night. Last night, that was from 7:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. She was awake, though, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. But still, that's a good stretch!
  • She smiles.
  • She loves to cuddle.
  • She loves to rock in the chair with mommy or daddy.
  • I love it in the morning, when Harper is starting to wake, I will go get her and bring her into bed with me. I'll watch some morning tv while Harper sleeps about an hour longer. It's very relaxing!
