Easter Fun

We had a great Easter weekend.  Enjoy the photos from the weekend.

We had a "practice" Easter egg hunt at our house on Thursday night.  Max and Mollie were coming down to play, so Harper hid eggs for them to find. It was fun!

Harper cuddled up with her cousins!

Since the potty is not getting used for "pottying" it was a great place to hide Easter eggs!

Easter morning, ready to find eggs! Look Mom, I found a purple one!

Harper running past a green one on the table! Don't worry, she eventually found it!

And now a blue one!

After our egg hunt, we decided to go for a walk down to the bayou to find the ducks. It was such a beautiful morning - albeit, a little cold.

Daddy and Harper on the bridge. Same bridge my G'pa would take us fishing on. Such great memories of the bayou! Although, I'm not sure why we call it a bayou - it's more like a pond.

Back home and ready for church - love this cute pink bow the Easter Bunny brought her.

Time for another Easter egg hunt - this time at G'ma's.

Harper had some special bigger eggs to find from Aunt Amy.

A little messy after eating a chocolate egg.

Outside now - engulfed in a bubble storm!

Swinging on the "big swing" with Daddy!

Enjoying the tunnel at G'ma's house. She loves to climb through this along with making a tent out of blankets!

Outside Fun

Despite the cold weather, we've still been enjoyin some fun outside.  But we are very anxious for the warmer temperatures to arrive (and stay) so we can playoutside without stocking hats and mittens!

Harper and Daddy checking out G'pas cows...

...or rather G'pa's cows checking out Harper! Here Harper is trying to scare them by saying "Boo!". They look really scared, don't they?

Harper and Daddy.

Driving her car waiting for G'pa to arrive at our place to feed the cows.

At last! Harper in the tractor with G'pa feeding the cows. She likes to do this a lot. Sometimes G'pa lets her drive the tractor around the cattle lot - right now, though, it's too muddy!

This time, G'pa put her up in the back window - normally she rides on his lap.  She LOVED being in the back window.

Climbing down after a fun ride!

This photo is taken thru the window but I couldn't resist.  It's Harper running away from Daddy in the back yard.

Fun Favorites

We've anxiously been awaiting the arrival of warmer weather. With the exception of today, looks like spring is here. While we love the nice weather, we know with that nice weather comes busy times for Noah. We are all hoping for a smooth, normal, spring planting season.

Harper continues to be so much fun! Some highlights:
  • She's starting to get interested in the potty. She'll sit on it, but not "produce" anything. More than anything, she likes to play with her potty (see photo below).
  • She can count to 10 in Spanish (thank you Dora!) and she can count backwards.
  • We feel like we can have conversations with her and rationalize with her. We'll see how long that lasts!
  • No real "terrible 2" moments yet...although, there are times when she's crabby - but everyone has those days!
  • She's eating better - at last! Favorite foods right now - yogurt, strawberries, sweet potato fries, chicken, pancakes, cereal, cookies and ice cream.
  • We went to Dairy Queen one night for ice cream (Harper had never had any to that point) and as we are in the drive thru, she said: "I would like some ice cream too!" She said this probably 10 times, so we got her a small cup of vanilla and she was beyond excited. She sat with the cup and looked at it for a while - then I finally got her to try it.  And she loved it! The entire drive home, she said: "I love my ice cream."
  • She attended the b-day party of her best buddy Evan. She really loved the party hats and Dora cake at the party.
  • She still loves to sing and read books. Now she's to the point where she's making up her own songs and making up stories while she flips thru pages in the books.
  • Peppa Pig (cartoon) has now trumped Dora for her favorite cartoon. Never thought that would happen!
  • Enjoy the photos below...
She loves her bike helmet. Will wear it everywhere!

Daddy's new toy...he and Caleb checking it out, while Noah is in his long underwear.

Helmet on while riding her 4-wheeler.

Helmet still on while playing on her slide.

A cute ponytail one night.

Hmmm, this isn't exactly how potty-training is supposed to go. Thankfully she has not actually "gone" in this potty so Lion did not need a wash after this!

This is the bed head she has everyone morning!

Super cute in pigtails!

Mom and Dad got a new dog - Chloe. She's a 5-year old lab that came from a guy who was getting a divorce and could not keep her. She's a super sweet dog and loves to be around people. She also loves to ride in the gator...

...and swing...

...and ride in the skidloader!

More playtime in her helmet!

Swinging with Aunt Amy. She looks thrilled, doesn't she?

She loves playing with the hose - she thinks water is going to come out of it.

Mommy's visor - or in Harper's mind, a princess crown!
