Harper's New Favorite Toy

Cousin Mary's kids had outgrown their play kitchen so she offered it to us. And Harper LOVES it. She especially loves to "answer" the phone, press the buttons on the microwave and pour drinks (pretend)....although I did catch her pouring water from her sippy cup into the kitchen play cups. She's too funny!

Cousin's Weekend

We had a great time at the Sandquist Cousins' Weekend at my cousin Mary's cabin in Minnesota. It was 3 days and 3 nights of relaxing, laughing, eating, drinking and having fun. 8 of the 9 of us made it, which is a new record!

Where you could find us most of the time, on the dock/water, drinking "beverages". :)

Todd enjoying the jet skiis. I did this for the first time - super fun!

Amy waterskiing.

Enjoying a well-prepared meal of walking tacos - delish!

The gag-gift of the weekend, "Bump Its". Here Mary, Lori and Jill are styling theirs!

The relaxing spot.

All of us!

Storm Damage

Last weekend we had a horrible storm hit...causing major damage to trees.  Thankfully, no damage to buidlings, vehicles or homes. Take a look at the photos...

Where our pear tree used to stand.

Harper's twisted up swing.

Mom and Dad's 60+ year old Dutch Elm tree. The thing was huge - probably 40-50 ft. tall. Took out the gas barrell and 3 other trees in its fall.

The base.

Trying to remove the stump. The red tractor couldn't pull it - so the gree tractor tried to push it to help it along. Still no go - notice the front tire on the red tractor up in the air. So now what?

Plan B. Cut it in half. Caleb got a good workout that day!

Mom and Dad's windbreak also experienced major damage. Hard to tell here, but a majority of their trees had some sort of damage.  So Dad decided to take them out and start over...

This is the windbreak after.  So sad.

More Summer Fun!

Summer is flying by - makes me a little sad. Wish it would slow down so we could enjoy it longer! Have been having fun playing outside, swinging, playing in the sprinkler, swimming in Amy's pool, going for walks, and playing with the kitties. Harper gets her 18 month photos taken this weekend by our favorite photographer. Watch for those photos coming soon...

Here she's playing in her sprinkler - and loving it.

Another favorite, the swing!

Noah's broker had a Hawaiian party and Harper got this grass skirt at the party. She loved wearing it around the house too.

So Harper loves to climb now. Climb up the stairs, climb up the ottoman onto the couch, etc. Here, she's climbed onto a storage tub. She thinks she's so cool sitting on top of it!

Love this look!

More Kitties

We have been loving playing with the baby kitties at G'ma & G'pa Sandquist. Harper has even learned to pick them up - of course - by the neck. So far, they haven't scratched her. But they are starting to run from her when she gets close to them. She also loves to feed them treats. She gets a handful from G'ma and then takes them over to the kitties and drops the treat in front of them.

Here she is feeding a kitty with daddy.

Kitty following her around - probably wanting more treats.
.

Thinking about chasing the kitties!

Our kitty at home "working out" with me...

More of the babies...so cute.

Silly smile...

G'pa (of all people) put this little bag on her shoulder like a purse! Too funny.

Putting G'ma's hat on Brett! He looks cute in a hat! She loves to feed Brett the kitty treats too.

And Harper sleeping with her kitty. She wasn't feeling the best over the weekend and fell asleep on the couch as we had some "quiet time" before lunch. Notice her kitty she's snuggling with...
